You know you could always do a local filter on _your_ end to autodelete or 
dump into a quarantine folder any mimed messages.

It's sub-optimal, but certainly a better option than having to unsubscribe. 
It'd also have the benefit of automatically moving any mimed spam out of 
your way too.
