hmm it's very strange for me... if you don'r have IP then how you will
redirect traffic or capture traffic from other machines.. I'm sure for
this
you will have to find MAC base NIDS

Sorry, I meant there is no IP address on that NIC which is attached to
the LAN, while the second NIC has IP assigned to it and attached to a
monitoring workstation thru a cross-over cable.
