Delete or Save

Kinda interested when you guys fill up your DBs with alerts, do you just
delete the old ones or save them off.  What's the best method for doing
this?  Is there a built in feature of snort for archiving your alerts?  What
are some of your guy's routines for rotating the backup/archiving of your
data?
