Cant start snort

[חואן <juan () sarel co il>]

I installd snort on Reh hat 7.3 whan I try to start it the following error
shows
>
/etc/init.d/snortd start
> :no such file or directorybin/sh
> :command not found
> :no such file or direcory.d/init.d/function
> :command not found
> :command not found
> 'etc/rc.d/init.d/snortd: line 24:syntax error near unexpected token 'i=
n
> 'etc/rc.d/init.d/snortd: line 24:'case "$1" in

please help
