MySQL problem

Mike

I didn't dig too deep into your MySQL message, but be aware that user@* is
different that user@localhost. If you are running snort on the same box as
the MySQL session, you will need to give the username for snort access
specifically from user@localhost.

MySQL Control Center (MyCC) from the MySQL team is a great way to admin your
MySQL instance, espcially for setting permissions, argueably one of the
toughest parts of running a MySQL DB.
