snort 1.9 memory usage increase

Just wondering when the memory snort is using  
will .. well.. stop increasing  
  
see attached .png mrtg images of the snort  
usage..  
  
note the flat line ~16Mb, that was 1.8.7  
when it goes up and up, thats 1.9.0  
  
system is openbsd 3.2 snort 1.9.0+mysql
