First off:  What's your command line?

Secondly:  If snort dumps core, there should be a core file around.  Do a
'gdb /path/to/snort /path/to/core_file'.  Once GDB is started, do a 'bt'
and paste that output back to us.  For more detailed info on that see the
'BUGS' file in the distro.

w/o a bit more info, we'd just be guessing.  :)  BTW, what version of
snort are you running?  If you're not running 1.9.0 then I really would
suggest grabbing the latest CVS snapshot [0].  There were a lot of recent
fixes for Solaris that were just commited to -current.
