I believe it has something to do w/one of murphy's doings where a hd and a backup system crash at the same time, as 
well as platform issues w/ the database data, which is gradually being pulled from a third backup.

or something along those lines if i remember the right thing from the previous dc area snort group meeting...
in any case it's being worked on.
