connection closed to mysql

I'm puzzled with the problem in hand.

I have a Snort sensor V 1.8.6 that runs on Sol8 with latest OS and security
patches. The sensor is configured to log to Mysql and it work very well. The
problem when I place the sensor on a different network segment the mysql
close the connection and the output directed to STO. Please notice that
ports are mirrored using Cisco 2900.

Any ideas
