Please Help

Dear All,

I am new to snort. I have it installed in my system.

I am currently running it from command prompt in
windows.

With command like snort -v -d, snort listens to the
network but upon completion when I use ctrl-C to view
the packet statistics, everything is 0. In other
words, even when I have traffic on the network (e.g.
with ping) snort does not capture packets. 

Please, what should I do?
