Re: help installing AGAIN!

I appreciate everyone's tips. When I get to the make and make install
portion. I always get these error results. Any suggestions? TIA

Matt,

Are you installing the source or the rpm? I suggest you download the source
from www.snort.org and check out the documentation at the same site. Docs of
interest to you would be the INSTALL doc. You can find this doc in the
tarball download of snort.

The install docs on Snort's site do not come up.

I am trying to install snort on a Redhat 7.2 box. I know NOTHING about Linux
really, but am trying to learn.

I tried unzipping the files and doing a 'make' but it does not seem to work.
Do you have step instructions on how to get this set up for use please? TIA
