You can start editing snort.conf to have the rules you need. You can also use options to specify tcpdump kinda filter if you need. -----Original Message----- From: snort-users-admin () lists sourceforge net [mailto:snort-users-admin () lists sourceforge net]On Behalf Of red z Sent: Sunday, July 07, 2002 9:17 PM To: snort-users () lists sourceforge net Subject: [Snort-users] Snort on freebsd 4.6 anyone wanna help!! Got it running on freebsd4.6 but I dont know what to do. The only thing I could do was snort -v I assume I have to write rules to "filter" out traffic I don't want to see. I've read the snort users manual etc.. Where do I start now? What should I edit? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- Do You Yahoo!? New! SBC Yahoo!
