RE: Snort configure problem with snmp???

Ronald,
I was having the same problem until I unloaded the ucd-snmp rpm and use the
tar to load it manually not using an RPM. This is how I got it working on
RH7.3. Here are my notes on how to get this working. Let me know how it
goes.



UCD-SNMP 4.2.5
http://net-snmp.sourceforge.net 
tar -zxvf ucd-snmp-4.2.5.tar.gz
./configure -prefix=/usr/local -enable-module=so
make
make install

> From the /usr/local/lib directory
cp libsnmp-0.4.2.5.so /usr/lib



SNORT 1.8.7
http://www.snort.org
tar -zxvf snort-1.8.7.tar.gz
./configure --with-mysql --with-snmp --enable-module=so --with-openssl
--prefix=/usr/local
make
make install

I'm using their ucd-snmp and openssl too...
