Problems on XP

has anyone experienced problems with snort on win XP? 
since i updated my system, snort won't work.
"The Program Snort.exe has errors and will be closed" something like that is
the error MSG...
can somebody help me??

i tried also the "compatibilityagent " (don't know the english word) nothing
happend....
