There is the ancient vision ruleset that I've not understood why
people still use.

We've done a good job of centralizing the ruleset in snort cvs
although we're not doing a good job of back propigating rules from 1.9
-> 1.8


If you have an issue with the ruleset, please discuss it on snort-sigs
and we'll gladly try to improve the ruleset as a whole
