Well...  If you grab something labeled 'beta' in the filename, it should be
fairly clear that things might have changed.  That's why it's important to
keep a copy of the snort.conf that comes with your distro as a reference copy.
One copy as it was from the tarball, one copy you modify.  Then when you
update diff the two originals and see what changed.  It changes almost every
time...  :)  New instructions, removal of deprecated plugins, additions of
switches, etc...
