SNORT (Got an error reading communication packets)

hello together,

I am running snort 1.8.3-5 on redhat 7.1 with mysql 3.23.36-1.
Snort doesn't write any alert message into the mysql-snort
database. The error message in the mysql.log is :

020109 16:52:51  Aborted connection 40 to db: 'snort' user: 'ids' host:
`localho
st' (Got timeout reading communication packets)

and

020110  8:53:52  Aborted connection 2257 to db: 'snort' user: 'ids' host:
`local
host' (Got an error reading communication packets)

and so on ...

What's the problem?
