alerts from file to mysql database

Hi, folks.

Sorry if this question has been posted before. I
haven't been able to find information about this...

Is there a way to send the alerts sitting in a set of
snort alerts files (both fast and long formats) to a
mysql database the way snort would do it through the
mysql output plugin? (I want to be able to use things
like ACID and the like for analysis).
