Keep in mind that these "personal firewalls" are not firewalls. Firewalls do
statefull inspection, can look at data payload, can make desicions based on
more than just the network layer, ect. All a personal firewall does is port
block, it is not even an application proxy.

Nothing that costs less than several hundered dollars to thousands of
dollars (exception, IP Tables, Unix boxen) has any business calling
themselves a firewall and advertising that they protect you from all current
vuns on the internet. A real firewall
is not $29.95.
