Hello.

Could someone please help me with adding more than one sensor? I want
one sensor outside the firewall and one inside, is that possible?

Yes it is. Look at SNORT FAQ 2.3 and read the manual.
There´s a PDF (ISS-placement.PDF) you can find it at SNORT site,
