quick question on stream2 pre-processor

I was having memory leak type issues with snort, so I started selectively 
disabling pre-processors to see if one was causing problems.  Stream2 seems 
to be the culprit.

Am I losing anything important by not having this up?  Does it's 
functionality overlap with the other pre-processors?
