I'm trying to instal DEMARC software with snort using mysql.

I download the mysql-3.23.44.tar.gx file and I enter the command:

#Tar zxvf mysql-3.23.44.tar.gx

It unzips and downlaods into it's directory.

The next step the instructions say is enter:

#./configure --prefix=/usr/local/mysql

When I do this it says that it is already configured and ready to run..

Why does it do this??
