snort_stat

Hey y'all

I'm trying out different reporting tools and I'm attempting to use
snort_stat.pl.  I'm capturing using -A fast and when I do:

cat alert | snort_stat.pl 

I get a report form completly unfilled.  I'm not a perl hack, so I'm not
sure what's going on.  It's getting the data from the pipe (I know what
print $_; means at least), but my question is, can it deal with
short-form of the logs?
