I suggested previously using Access, but if you use the MySQL ODBC driver (no need for extra stuff at the *NIX end) on your Windows box, you can use any ODBC Compliant tool, this would include Access, Excel, Crystal Reports, and many more. If you're not a *NIX person normally then using Windows tools you could potentially build graphs that include 3-day moving averages and other statistical analyses. I guess it depends on your level of comfort with coding, 'cos I think that either way you are going to have to write some code. Anyway, use whatever tool you are most comfortable with. I was looking for something more flexible than the stuff built into ACID. Looks like so far that I am going to have to start rocking out some exel stuff. I was hoping for a better reporting package out there to save me some time. Also I would like to make comparison graphs.. Like codered probes vs nimda vs unix attacks.. So I guess my real question is there something out there already or should I fire up exel? I use the graphs in ACID but I need something more than I can use as a screen capture.. Anyone have any suggestions? Is there something else out there?
