dazed and confused

        So in order to install snort one must have libcaps installed along with the
headers ,this seems simple enough.

So once the install was finished, I then tried to run configure, it errord
about libcap

so then I specified where the libs and headers where

./configure --with-libpcap-includes=/usr/include/sys/ --with-libpcap-librari
es=/lib/

and it still failed

and under /lib/ libcap.so libcap.so.1 libcap.so.1.0 are there

and under /usr/include/sys/ I have capability.h

What am I doing wrong?
