Attempting to compile snort 1.8p1 on a cobalt box.

I am attempting to compile snort with mysql support (that's it ) on a cobalt
box
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/snort --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql

When I get to the make portion I get this error.. 
Any ideas?
