snort crash on w2k

every day

instruction at "0x0041doc2" referenced memory at 0x01b6cfff memory could not
be "read"

debug always shows failure on the same line of code

0041doe2        mov al,byte ptr[edx]


I'm not a programmer, by any means, and the snort service crashes all the
time, any ideas?
