I met John Savage at the White House last year

 when he happened to sit next to spaf and me (as President Obama walked into the room).  Dr. Savage is one of those 
whip-smart first generation computer scientists who founded a department and has heaped up the formal accolades.  More 
recently, John has taken an interest in cyber security policy as a Jefferson Fellow with the US State Department.
