New Platform and OS

I came across a new platform and OS being used in Germany which is faster
but also uses less power and memory then conventional computers. Rather
then rave on about this I included some of the write ups and the link for
anyone wishing to look over this machine and operating system:
http://www.genesi.lu/index.php One thing I did notice is that it can run
crossovers between windows, linux and Mac softwares. I also consider the
cost way below any standard computer being offered specially the OS.

Core Technologies
Hardware -- The Pegasos is based on a modular design with multiple features
in small form-factor (micro-ATX). The mainboard and the CPU card are
designed on two separate circuit boards. They can be physically separated.
This design allows the mainboard to be upgraded to a faster processor or
dual processors without replacing the complete system. Based on PowerPC and
industry standards (such as Open Firmware), the Pegasos mainboard provides
an alternative platform for personal or industrial computing and embedded
applications. There is no End User License Agreement (EULA) that impedes the
use of the Pegasos (as with Microsoft-related or Apple products). As such,
the hardware becomes instantly compelling to computer literate users. In
less than one year and in a limited release, there are already sixteen
different operating systems running or being ported to the Pegasos,
including seven versions of Linux, three versions of BSD, the world's most
secure operating system, and QNX, the world's leading embedded operating
system. MacOS also runs on the Pegasos through the emulation program
Mac-on-Linux. Interestingly, this feature allows all Microsoft Office
applications to work on the Pegasos (EULA issues not withstanding). A single
Pegasos can be prepared to "run" with any of these operating systems. By
partitioning the hard drive of the computer multiple operating systems can
be loaded and run individually as required.

Software -- Complimenting the Pegasos is the ultra-light and always present
MorphOS. Unlike operating systems such as Microsoft Windows or MacOS X,
MorphOS has a small memory footprint, uses fewer clock-cycles and leaves
more power for the applications that are used. The Pegasos running MorphOS
is ready to use within ten seconds of turning on the machine. Because the
computer operates more efficiently, costs are further reduced by lower power
and memory requirements. MorphOS provides a highly responsive user
environment, which is feature rich, highly customizable and easy to use even
though it places fewer demands on system hardware. Cycle for cycle, MorphOS
could be the most powerful and efficient desktop operating system
commercially available in the world today.
