MOSCOW. Dec 31 (Interfax) - Russian computer software specialist
Dmitri Sklyarov charged with violating the Digital Millennium
Copyright Act in the United States returned to Moscow on Monday.

According to an Interfax reporter, at the airport he was welcomed
by his family and close friends.

Sklyarov told Interfax that he would see the New Year in with his
   "near and dear ones."

Earlier Vladimir Katalov, executive director of the Russian
Elcomsoft company for which Sklyarov worked, told Interfax that the
programmer plans to hold a news conference for American journalists
and meet the leadership of the Electronic Frontier Foundation that
supported him ever since his arrest.

Earlier Sklyarov's lawyers won court approval for Sklyarov's return
to Russia. Now he will be waiting for the court decision on the
Elcomsoft case in Moscow calling representatives of U.S. justice once
