More may lose jobs due to vulgar e-mail

   More state employees are expected to be fired for using state
   computers to distribute e-mail messages involving vulgar jokes and
   cartoons, state and union officials said Monday.

   "It was four, but the investigation is still pending," said Julie
   Economaki, spokeswoman for the Iowa Department of Personnel, which is
   leading the investigation. "There will be more than four."

   At least four state employees were fired last week for inappropriate
   use of state computers after some recipients of the jokes were
   offended.
