Joyrider, 14, is first tagging guinea pig

A joyrider aged 14 became the first persistent young offender to be
punished with a "Big Brother" surveillance programme yesterday.

The advanced Home Office-funded computer system can recognise
youths' faces if they appear on town-centre CCTV cameras. It also
has a computerised voice recognition system that telephones the
juvenile at various times of the day to check they are where they
are supposed to be.
