The NAR is part-owner of homestore.com's realtor.com site, and allegedly has taken measures that exclude other real estate sites from access to listings. The motive would be to exclude non-NAR competition and thus extend the NAR's dominance to the Web while protecting NAR's meatspace dominance from Web-based threats. The NAR is homestore.com's lobby.

The NAR is co-owner of Homestore.com, and allegedly is using the same exclusivity tactics that have made MLSs competitively troubling.
