 candidates?]]

Declan -- Lynn Reed here, former Bradley internet consultant. I am not
aware of the campaign authorizing any such use of the campaign e-mail
list during the campaign or in the month that has passed since Senator
Bradley withdrew from the race.

Some volunteers had access to certain portions of our e-mail list during
the campaign as part of their access to our supporter database (several
volunteers in Virginia had access) and it would have been possible for
them to make a copy of the list, although they were instructed in print
and verbally not to do so. They were instructed to use the material
only for official campaign purposes.

I'm not making any accusations, but just trying to clear up the matter
for the record.

Lynn - I would send a note to "Declan McCullagh" <declan () well com> - he moderates
this list and is a reporter with Wired.

Subject: Democratic Candidate Needs Your Help to Keep the Bill Bradley campaign going at the Congressional level in Northern Virginia

BELLANCA FOR CONGRESS 2000
P.O. Box 2184
Reston, VA 20191

April 2, 2000

Dear Bill Bradley Supporters:

It's not too late to keep the Bill Bradley vision alive. I am writing to you as the former Hunter Mill District Bill Bradley For President Chairman and as a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in the 11th District. The efforts to support Bill Bradley are alive in my campaign for Congress to embrace those same issues that Dollar Bill brought to the forefront.

Among them, I am pressing forward supporting campaign finance reform, common sense gun laws, health care reform, and bringing the nation back to the "new politics" of positive campaigns. I've added another important issue to the mix that is more central to our district and that is addressing the traffic situation in Northern Virginia. All of these issues need to be addressed at the federal level this year and we cannot afford to forget, nor can we afford to lose the ground that we've gained.

This is the reason I need your support this week in the Democratic caucus being held on April 15, 2000. As an 11th district Democratic candidate, I am the only Bill Bradley supporter running for the nomination. In order to win, I need to get as many delegates that support issues that Bill Bradley took the leadership role in bringing to the forefront.

I've attached the necessary form for you to file as a delegate to support these issues and me on the Congressional level. I ask you to complete the form and return to my campaign headquarters by this Saturday, April 8. The cost of filing this form is not required but will go to help pay the costs the Democratic Party will be paying to run the caucus. Please send the completed form to the following address:

                                        Bellanca For Congress 2000
                                        P.O. Box 2184
                                        Reston, VA 20191

Let's keep the ball on the court and rolling for our friend Bill Bradley by continuing to support the important issues we've been fighting for over the past year. Please help me with my campaign to continue his legacy.

                                        Sincerely,

                                        Thomas E. Bellanca
                                        Democratic Candidate (11-VA)
