Hi Phil, The OSCP course is great, it covers a lot of subjects in details including information gathering, packet analysis, exploits development, tools usage.......etc Among one of the most skills being taught through this course is the documentation, as you can't being considered to finish your course unless provided documentation for each and every exercise in it.
