Reddit/Wiki style security tools listing

Similar to Ying I’ve been working on site to list security/pen-test
tools. I always felt that the current listing out there lacked a few
things:

1) Context: Normally the list of tools just give the tool name. No
context or how the tool is used, maybe something as simple as the –h
or the ‘about’ dialog.
2) Popularity: Most of the lists are compiled by a few people (or
one individual), the exception to this is of course the nsecure
listing.
3) Usefulness: Is it user friendly, how does it compare to other tools etc
4) Further Information: Operating System, Current version, release
date, license, where to download, history, Similar Tools, etc
5) Discussion: I see it on this list all the time, someone
releases a tool and there no (if little) discussion about the tool, if
they had any problems with the tool, is it similar to another tool or
better than current tools.
6) Tags: tagging the tools would allow people to find tools in one
area or find all tools for a given task.

Would putting a site together that covers these areas be useful to people?
Does something like this already exist?
Would anyone be willing to help contribute?
