 A very solid pen test course is the offering from the guys who produce backtrack. If you goto the site 
www.offensive-security.com they have an offering called backtrack 101. You can just have the course or also have access 
to the labs and take a "hands on" exam..... All very good value as well...think about $600 us for everything...
