I'm looking for a Linux-based alternative to TSGrinder to brute-force RDP on Windows PCs. Anyone know if one exists? A Google-search turned up nothing. Thanks, Cory
You may be able to use a modified rdesktop to brute-force RDP. If it's successful or not often depends on the version of Windows and whether the target has any logon banners. Here is cqure's patch to rdesktop: http://www.cqure.net/wp/?page_id=26 The following is my version: http://www.foofus.net/jmk/rdesktop.html IMNSHO, RDP is horrible for brute-force password attacks. If SMB is available, that's a much quicker and more reliable route.
