Thanks for the awesome reply one () two com,

Arp spoofing is out fo the scope, due to the nature of a possible DoS on the network, but I would like to try the programs you were speaking of. Are these freely available tools?

Thanks

Hi Chris,

If you are on their local LAN then a large amount of information can be pulled out of Novell servers without even having to
authenticate. If I remember correctly (and correct me if i'm wrong), using the cx.exe tool you can enumerate every
container within the NDS tree (unauthenticated?) using the following command;

cx /t /a /r

If you can grab authentication details via arp spoofing then you can enumerate enormous amounts of information. Eg, when
authenticated, you can enumerate all Novell servers, users, and groups via the "Send Message" functionality.

The Hacking Exposed book has a pretty good section on Novell hacking, with some of it being a little old, but gives you
a good process to follow.

Some tools that may be included on one of the mapped network drives are;

snlist.exe

nlist.exe

cx.exe

I also downloaded the "AdRem Server Management" software which was fantastic. With authentication details, I was able
to find a server that had poorly configured ACLs which let me gain access to the administrator password hash.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find a way to reverse the hash for Netware 5.5, which can be done for earlier versions of
Netware.

Good luck,

One2
