It's sufficient to take care of a certain set of criteria...

1. don't reply twice to the same address
2. don't answer to Precedence: bulk or Precedence: list
3. _do_ loop checks. ;-)

This is usually already sufficient. I use to add a couple of other
checks to that for customers that do want autoresponders. However,
there's no reason at all to disable your subscription (Except for the
couple of hours it takes upon return to catch up with all the mail).
