All of you where right, is TN3270 encoded in EBCDIC so in ethereal is straightforward as Martin says. Also I have some Cain captures in TXT format, those captures are in EBCDIC so, a quick tip to convert to ASCII in Linux: dd if=telnet_capture.txt of=telnet_converted.txt conv=ascii Thanks for your answer Martin, Art and Skip.
