Does anyone have any good tools for palm devices like the treo650?

I have ssh, ping, traceroute, and vnc, but it sure would be nice to have
a port scanner over the wireless cell.

I disagree, OpenZarus is a fine OS, and I personally have Kismet,
Wellenreiter, Nmap, tcpdump etc running on my 5500.

Yes battery life is a problem, you can get around that by having a car
charger (15 Oz $)

or a battery extender detailed here
http://www.irongeek.com/i.php?page=reviews/batextend
from page
"Summary: The extender let me take the battery life from 2 hours to
about 7 hours and 45 minutes. That's one hell of a wardrive/warwalk.
If you want to use the Zaurus as a mobile hack tool get an extender."

cheers

I'm to cheap to own one, but have a couple friends that have done what
you're talking about. It works great. You end up with a handheld
device that runs kismet, nmap, and a myriad of other tools you'd never
expect to be portal.

for more information.

I would recommend against the zaurus, though. The hardware is nice.
Battery life wasn't that great. The port of linux that they used
needs a lot of work to be usable.

Hi
I'm thinking of buying a PDA which I would like to install linux on
so
that I can use it to help with pen-tests as well as the normal PDA
type
stuff.

My current one of choice is a hp ipaq hx2410 which is in my price
range,
will take linux and has wireless and bluetooth.

Has anyone got one of these and done what I'm proposing? Can anyone
suggest any alternatives which work better? I did look at the Sharp
Zaurus but it isn't easy to get in the UK so I've been put off.
