Visio is the tool to use.
Most companies tend to prefer it, even more so now as it is now
considered a MS product.
It also has plug-ins for network specific vendors for devices.

Thanks

Subject: modeling a network architecture

Hello

Which tools do u use to represent a network architecture. I tried M$
Visio, but I'm looking for a less heavy, open source tool. Any ideas ?
