I noticed the Exchange server was performing 3 NBT broadcasts to try to resolve the LMHOST name of my box. Naturally it did not work because I'm a Unix box not running Samba.
Nice troubleshooting work. We have the same trouble with our linux spam/virus boxes talking to exchange behind a firewall sometimes. We just knock it in the head with a simple hosts file entry for the linux box on the exchange server and get rid of the connection lag. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ethical Hacking at the InfoSec Institute.
