Hi Petr You already have the basic knowledge of pen-testing, therefore I would recommed you need to be very selective on the course you attend, as the majority are script kiddie based, point and click stuff.
From our experience at BT, you need a combination of advanced
hands-on skill and conceptual security knowledge. Again from our experience we have worked closely with the Security Associates Institute and their Certifed Security Associate program, and have 13 certified CSA experts at BT. Check out the link: http://www.securityassociate.org/csa.pdf But this is only half the picture, you really need to combine this with a conceptual course such as the CISSP. I know already how to use nmap, ping/traceroute, nessus, hping, nemesis, tcpdump/ethereal, ettercap, I know how to do passive fingerprint of OS, use various honeypots etc. etc. However, there is always something new to learn, I'm sure. I did some research of available training courses on the Internet and I'm not sure which could be valuable to me, as I do not need to spend time learning 'nmap -vv -sS -P0 x.x.x.x'. Besides programming skills and researching new vurneabilities (and keep running on learing track), is there any good training out there ?
