You could use Telnet's Perl Module in your perl script to try and brute force the cisco password via your dialup linux/win32(activeperl) box. Or i sugges you should try other ways first before getting down the noisy way of pen-testing the router. Try SNMP Walks, TFTP default settings/flaws, and Ports like 23,79,80,2001/2065 to test for.
