i couldn't do that. anybody could do that ?? i think the rcp client is always usin' port 514/TCP( also shell or cmd at usual unix /etc/services). ken
Agreed, and if you have to, you can change the port that it uses by e.g. mdac echo login 80/tcp > newservice.txt copy c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\services oldservice copy newservice.txt + oldservice c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\services rcp will now use port 80
