Masters Program Question / Career Advice

Hello,

I was hoping someone might have some advice on pursuing a masters degree in information security. I have seen some
talks stating that some school's programs are not very good so I was hoping someone would be able to provide some
advice on moving forward. After looking at the SAN curriculum, it seems very appealing, but the company I work for is
not in a position to pay for those classes for me. I could try to pay for them myself, but even if I get the
scholarship and add my company's tuition reimbursment, it would be a huge out of pocket expense to take on since they
do not offer financial aid.

I am still relatively new to infosec and am looking for ways to broaden my experience as well as add credentials to my
resume. It seems like as good of a time as any to do a masters degree, but am more interested in the knowledge I would
gain in the process than the degree itself.

I found a program at Lewis University, which appears to be listed as a NSA Center of Academic Excellence. They have a
technical curriculum in their MS Information Security that seems interesting based on class descriptions.
http://lewisu.edu/academics/msinfosec/showacademicgradprog.htm?pdegreeid=244&pdegree=Information%20Security I also
like that it is not a Computer Science/Math Degree with an emphasis on security. I would be interested in hearing if
anyone has taken this degree, or knows someone who has, and can speak to it being worthwhile or something to avoid.

Thanks,
Sam
