Malware Analysis

I'm planning to do some analysis on all the malware threats (virus, worms, Trojans etc) discovered from January 1 2011 
to today.

Any suggestions where I can download details of these threats?

Basically, I want to know things like:

-how many threats exploit a software vulnerability where there is a patch
-how many threats require the user to have local admin privileges (I.e. write to %system root%, %programfiles% or 
similar)
-how many threats modify or delete data files in the user profile
