Dropbox public files privacy | do you use Dropbox and why?

I share a file;
for example http://dl.dropbox.com/u/$NUMBER/FILE.MP4
Can someone find out my user name and/or other files shared by me?

Do you use Dropbox for personal purposes (for example with Android
smart phone)? Why no or yes?
